Job Title:  Senior Accountant
Location:  Darien, CT

Jupiterimages provides photos and other graphic images electronically while JupiterOnlineMedia is the online media division of Jupitermedia.

Jupitermedia Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Accountant in our Darien, CT office. This person will be Responsible for both performing and overseeing the accounting function of multiple business units.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly closes;
  • Responsible for various account reconciliations;
  • Financial statement reviews including budget to actual variation analyses;
  • Assist with the company's annual and quarterly external reporting requirements;
  • Act as liaison with tax department concerning sales tax and income tax filings;
  • Assist staff accountants as necessary with accounting issues
  • Coordinate with employees and third parties to gather information needed to analyze and review business results and trends;
  • Correspond with and provide information to internal and external auditors;
  • Comply with all internal standards as required by Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404;
  • Confirm with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions;
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC quarterly and annual filings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  • CPA preferred, but not required;
  • 3-5 years of public or private accounting experience with SEC experience;
  • Management experience preferred;
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to lead;
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Work and accounting software, Great Plains and Oracle Financials a plus;
  • Exercise discretion with highly confidential information;
  • Must be highly details oriented, organized and able to work in a fast paced environment.
