INTERNET.COM'S LINUXTODAY.COM ADDS TO EDITORIAL AND TECHNICAL TEAM AND ANNOUNCES BROADCAST OF LIVE RADIO AT LINUX BUSINESS EXPO/COMDEX 99
(Westport, CT--November 9, 1999)-- internet.com Corporation (Nasdaq: INTM) today announced that LinuxToday.com will be the official radio sponsor at ZD Events' Linux Business Expo, held on November 15-19 in conjunction with Comdex Fall in Las Vegas.LinuxToday.com will broadcast 36 hours of live streaming radio produced by audio veteran Emmett Plant from a specially built presentation theater on the show floor onto the Internet. As part of its continuing expansion of coverage of Linux and Open Source computing, internet.com has appointed Plant as editor of LinuxToday.com's audio broadcasting arm V.O.L.T. (The Voice Of Linux Today) and named Paul Ferris as the site's chief programmer. Plant is known in the Linux community as the founder of Time City, a popular open source game development project and his writings have also appeared on Earthweb's OpenSourceIT and Bleeding Edge Magazine. Ferris brings over 11 years of Unix and Linux experience to the team and is a frequent contributor to LinuxToday.com, 32BitsOnline, and writes the popular Linux column "Rant Mode".
