INTERNET.COM ACQUIRES SHARKYEXTREME.COM, ADDING OVER 10 MILLION MONTHLY PAGE VIEWS AND INTERNET TECHNOLOGY CONTENT TO NETWORK
(Darien, CT--December 14, 1999)-- internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), the E-business and Internet Technology Network, today announced that it has acquired the SharkyExtreme.com Web site (http://www.sharkyextreme.com). Terms were not disclosed.SharkyExtreme.com, based in San Jose, California, is a leading professional resource for the latest hardware and software technology on the Web, providing the most current news, research, analysis and buying guides for the Internet and technology industries. SharkyExtreme.com serves one of the most affluent technology market segments--technical professionals with purchasing power. Since its inception 16 months ago, SharkyExtreme.com has grown at a phenomenal rate, serving over 10 million page views in the month of November. The site will increase internet.com's total monthly page views to over 90 million, an increase of over 10%.
