INTERNET.COM LAUNCHES BUREAUS AND WEB SITES IN BOSTON AND WASHINGTON D.C. STRENGTHENING LOCAL INTERNET NEWS COVERAGE
(Darien, CT--December 16, 1999)-- internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), The E-Business and Internet Technology Network, today announced that it has launched boston.internet.com (http://boston.internet.com) and dc.internet.com (http://dc.internet.com) to cover the rapidly growing Internet and Internet venture capital activities in these two significant cities and their surrounding areas. internet.com also announced plans to roll out several other bureaus in coming months.According to a recent PriceWaterhouseCoopers study, The Washington D.C./Metroplex region generated more than $240 million in Internet-related investments during the first half of 1999, while the New England region generated more than $860 million in similar investments.
